FAQ

When acquiring a handmade piece, it’s more than a “simple piece of wood”; behind each one, there are skilled hands crafting it one by one, ensuring that each piece is unique.

Our cutting boards are not only aesthetically appealing pieces, but they have also been carefully designed to be functional and practical. Crafted with premium materials, these boards offer durability and resilience, essential aspects in any kitchen environment.

Follow our recommendations, and you’ll have “recipe companions” for a lifetime:

Do not use a dishwasher

Do not use the dishwasher or harsh cleaning products. It is also not advisable to soak them or use heat sources for drying.

Do not put in the microwave or refrigerator

Changes in temperature and humidity could cause deformities in the color and shape of the piece.

Wash with warm water and soap

Wash them by hand with warm water and soap, then dry with a dry cloth, allowing them to air dry completely.

Avoid extreme temperature changes

Wood is alive despite being outside its natural habitat, and that’s why it may experience movement with temperature changes or when there’s humidity in the environment. To maintain its long-term stability, avoid extreme temperature changes. If the climate is very dry, hydrate the piece periodically.

Apply wax to moisturize

Wood almost needs the same care as your skin; that’s why it’s advisable to keep it hydrated with our in-house product. It’s made with beeswax, vegetable wax, and oils with a touch of essence that the boss likes to add.

It is advisable to apply approximately once every two months (the wood will let you know when) to keep it in optimal conditions, ensuring you have a lasting cutting board.

You can apply it directly with your hands (benefiting your hands in the process) or with a clean cotton cloth (keep it with the product for the next application). You don’t need to use a large amount.

It is non-toxic, so it can be used on tables, kitchen countertops, cutting boards, utensils, bowls, plates, or any surface that comes into contact with food. It deepens the color and enhances the contrast of the grain. However, the wood retains its natural appearance and texture.

Leaves a natural and velvety touch, allowing the wood to breathe.
