About HachAzuela

HachAzuela is born out of admiration for nature, as there is nothing more original than nature itself.

HachAzuela

We decided to bet on the city, specifically the Gracia neighborhood, by opening our space. We are among those who fled from the Born neighborhood more than 20 years ago when it was invaded by international brands.

We believe that the best way to be universal is to be very local.

Our raw materials are wood and alabaster. ust as there is no vein, branch, or trunk identical to another. We ensure that each piece is unique and exclusive.

Both the wood and alabaster are sourced locally, no imports!

At HachAzuela’s workshop, we create handmade objects for daily use, combining traditional methods, simple hand tools, and sustainable forest wood.

We control the entire creation process, from selecting the trunks, which come from the annual pruning of the fields in Tarragona, where our workshop is located, to execution using artisan tools such as axes, adzes, gouges, knives, files, shaping each object with the care it deserves.

Delving into the world of traditional craftsmanship connects us to an almost forgotten world, where natural materials and the beauty of simplicity come together to create unique objects, made with love and patience.

We call ourselves “wood artisans” and create custom furniture, decorative items, and kitchenware.

Sculptor Javier Úbeda lends a unique character to each piece, ensuring that each object or piece of furniture has that special differentiation, avoiding replication.

Our customer profile is demanding, well-informed, knowledgeable about current publications, and that’s why they expect much more than pure functionality (which we love because it’s very motivating). We believe that having a connection with the customer is essential. Being able to get to know the person for whom we are creating an item they will use every day, be it a table, shelf, spoon, cutting board, stool, lamp… it’s truly special!”
